In order to do this we will need to archive some legacy content that is no longer being viewed, we will be contacting users whose media falls outside of our retention policy in the coming weeks and be moving media to safe storage. Mediacentral content not used in past 24 months will initially be stored offline, we will then sift and move student created content to an online repository for 6 years - assumption being staff should already have their files saved elsewhere. If you have any concerns regarding your media please contact the team via THE retention policy In Brief Do not be alarmed will keep a copy as per UCL's wider data retention policy and it is not our intention to delete your media. Please note Mediacentral is not used as a repository or as a storage facility, it is for the delivery of media contnet through UCL's VLE, Drupal and external sites.Īny content you may have uploaded to Mediacentral which has not been viewed or used since August 2020 will be archived seperately to the system, this is in line with our policy for all content. The use of the Blackboad Collaborate service was finally brought to closure. The video content has been archived, however if you had not downloaded your content in the decommission phase, you can request a copy and then upload this to Lecturecast. Blackboard Collaborate at UCL is now decommissioned
